Eric Fleming was an American actor known for his roles in western television series and films. He was born on July 4, 1925, in Santa Paula, California, and died on September 28, 1966, in Tingo Maria, Peru.
Fleming is best known for his role as trail boss Gil Favor in the popular television series "Rawhide," which aired from 1959 to 1966. He also appeared in several other TV shows and movies, including "Queen of the Nile," "These Thousand Hills," and "Conquest of Space."
In addition to his television and film roles, Fleming had a successful stage career, appearing in numerous Broadway productions. He was known for his rugged good looks, deep voice, and commanding presence on screen.
